Location
The organisation is situated in Gwalior, at Delhi-Mumbai route. It is connected by road, rail and air. It takes approximately four hours to reach Gwalior by train from Country Capital, Delhi as well as State Capital, Bhopal.
The office is located in the heart of the city which is connected to all parts of the city by all means of transport.

Team
The society has a team of qualified and the experienced professionals from social and medical sector who are committed towards well being of rural and urban society. The team works under the guidance and supervision of executive board by following the participatory approach. Various decisions of organization matters are taken jointly. Currently, we have at the senior level, at middle level while are working at the grass-root level.
In addition, we have panel of resource persons who render their professional services as and when required.
Geographical Area Of Operation
The Sarvajanik Pariwar Kalyan and Sewa Samiti (SPKSS) Gwalior, is having its area of operation in Gwalior & Chambal division (Districts Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia and Sheopur). It is geographically encircled by Chambal & Sindh Rivers. The isolated area has practically remained untouched by any type of development Programme including health & family welfare in the past. The entire area is a part of famous Chambal & Sindh Ravines, infested with dacoits. These area lacks in Railway & Road facility and have minimum irrigation facilities. These adverse geographical condition has affected the living conditions of the community. The population of Gwalior & Chambal division is approximately 36 lacs. Literacy rate in 54.1%. Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh are the adjoining states. These districts shares the climatic condition and terrain similar to Rajasthan that to in most of the places. Agriculture is the main occupation of this region.
Future Plans
- Watershed Development Programme The main objective of this scheme is conservation and development of watershed to improve their ecology and thereby enhance productivity and life supporting system for the betterment of the people and their environment.
- Implementation of Pre-natal diagnostic techniques (PNDT) act The organization SPKSS provide critical inputs in awareness generation in awareness generation in respect of the pernicious of the girl child, and spread knowledge about the penalties stipulated in the PNDT act 1994.
- Participation in Aids Control Programme To reduce the rate of transmission among the priority vulnerable and marginalized groups rush as sex workers, truck driver, migrant labors, injecting drug users, men having sex with men street children etc.
- Implementation of ISM&H scheme The main objectives of the schemes to create and increase awareness among the community about the preventive, primitive and curative aspects of ISM&H systems, their cost effectiveness, availability of common ailments which one reading available and the techniques for growing such herbs and other medicinal plants. The scheme is intend looking after basis primary health care needs through the ISM&H approach.
- Development of Medicinal Plant (Herbal Garden) through Medicinal Plant Board To Develop a herbal garden species wise, modern, well equipped awareness demonstration centres where farmers could learn about cultivation techniques through interactive discussions and first hand experience on the spot.
- Promotion of National Integration This scheme provides a frame work for greater exchange and understanding among the youth of various regions in the country and thereby helps promote national integration.
- Women Empowerment through Training & Employment Programes The scheme renders support to women employment in various sectors such as agriculture, dairying, small animal husbandry, fisheries, khadi and village industries, handloom etc. where women are preponderanty engaged in work.
- Schemes for Development of Women Literacy The primary objective of the scheme is promotion of education among tribal girls in the identified low literacy districts of the Madhya Pradesh. The secondary objective of the scheme is to improve the socio-economic status of the poor and illiterate tribal population.
- Resource generation for research and publications in the field of women and child development The organisation SPKSS for undertaking research studies on emerging issues in the field of women and child development.
Proposed Activities
- Rural development activities: Jal, Jamin and Jangal (Cultivation) are three basic needs that directly affects village community. Programme related to water conservation and sanitation, water harvesting, advance cultivation adoption with involvement of Panchayati Raj functionaries.
- Awareness generation on HIV/ AIDS is to be organized intensively in the colonies of migrant Labour as truck drivers occasionally make their stay in these colonies.
- Survey and Research study related to Socialogical, health related and economical etc. to be organized as per needs.
- Information, Education and Communication (IEC) : To get maximum behavioral change, awareness is the essential part that can be fulfilled by information, education and communication with an important continuous activity.
- Development of IEC material : Awareness generation in people and training IEC material play important role.
- Development of various IEC material i.e. audio-visual and printed material will developed as per requirement.
- Trainings: The organisation planned to organize various trainings on current issues for field level volunteers, workers and their chief functionaries.
- GO-NGO Partnership: The government and non-government organization, both are working for welfare of human beings. In our working area we are networking and collaborating with government planned for better co-ordination to get maximum output.
- Innovative: To sustain the organisation establishment of a nursing home in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh is under consideration.
- A Farm or Dairy Unit has to be developed in Gwalior district as income generation activity to sustain the running programs.
